Recently, the interest of Russian printers in relation to both equipment and materials has shifted towards manufacturers from Asian countries. India, being the world's largest country in terms of population, has a huge market, and one that is growing very fast. According to some estimates, the increase in the production of label products in this country is up to 25 percent per year. Even if we accept a conservative estimate of 12 percent per year, this is in any case a real boom in the industry.
Of course, such rapid growth is facilitated by the presence of good manufacturers of consumables and equipment for the industry. The delegation of VMG Group visited LabelExpo exhibition in Delhi. The company has long had reliable partners in India, such as the equipment manufacturer Manugraph, one of the world's largest manufacturers of consumables for various segments of the printing industry TechNova, the Indian division of ToyoInk and others.
With all existing partners, cooperation not only continues, but is rapidly expanding. For example, supplies of consumables from TechNova have increased more than double over the past nine months. The opening of new directions for ultra-violet consumables becomes possible thanks to companies from India.

The qualitative change of both LabelExpo India and its main exhibitors is striking. Good, clean, designer booths decorate the entire event. A lot of working printing equipment is demonstrated. There are both recognized global brands and local manufacturers. At the same time, there are more Indian companies than European ones, and their booths are larger, and the equipment is presented much more fully.
Taiwanese finishing equipment manufacturer ORTHOTEC also presented at the exhibition. Now one finishing machine of this company is in the process of delivery to Russia. The ORTHOTEC factory is known for its analog hot stamping machines, screen printing, and now a digital inkjet screen printing for label finishing has been added to the range of equipment offered. The latter position should now be of particular interest to Russian printers producing label products on digital printing machines.
After visiting LabelExpo India, it becomes clear that the changing Russian label printing market will receive the necessary consumables and equipment.
