Vologda media-group “Premier” has entered the newspaper production sector through establishing the print house Premier, which was opened in 2002.
The production grew step by step while the customers’ interest to the company increased accordingly. A printing press СityLine Express has become the flagship of the company’s printing equipment. On the first day of operation of the regional newspaper “Premier” this equipment has successfully passed its first serious working test. The print house now prints newspapers not just for the towns of Vologda, Cherepovets and Tver but also for the regions of Arkhangelsk, Yaroslavl and Kostroma. All this is the result of the committed work of the management which created a modern newspaper print house serving both the needs of a small regional newspaper and of the leader of the printing market, the “Komsomol Pravda” newspaper.  The company Vneshmaltigraph has led the pre-commissioning works and set up the CityLine Express newspaper complex in November 2013. A third printing turret was added to the two working printing sections of turret-type. Upon completion of the set up of the printing press CityLine Express, its configuration includes a monosection 1+1 with built-in roll loading, folder 1:3:3, three printing turrets 4+4, each fitted with a roll loading. The executive secretary of the newspaper “Premier” Alexei Kudrashov says that the print house operation has acquired an ideal component which helps producing editions with no problems.  The print house current capacity allows releasing the thickest colour newspaper of the region strictly on time with the volume of 40 to 56 broadsides and different number of colours. The print house produces 47 newspaper editions and utilizes over 180 tons of paper. “We won’t stop at the achieved result - says the print house executive director, Mr. Sergey Zamuruev - the nearest plans include buying a second folder, which will update the newspaper complex and make it even more efficient for the manufacturing of goods.
Competition among the newspapers’ print houses in the north-west of Russia is quiet strong. The print house Premier Here aims to work well and preserve its leading position. It hopes that the new equipment unit will allow not just to maintain the print house’s production parameters but to enhance them.
