The beginning of a new year is a busy period for the printers. When the Russian Federation enjoys holidays in the first decade of January, the employees of printing shops are already preparing their production for the future printing runs. Routine maintenance, equipment repair are planned in the printing shops, but the most intense is the process of the modernization of the newspaper production. To stop completely is impossible due to the necessity to print the circulations. But it is impossible to make the installation works of new equipment and synchronization with the installed printing press as a nonstop process.
The specialists of VMG service center have great experience of different installations of the equipment, modernization of it in “hard” production schedule. And at this time in the own printing house, which is a part of VMG holding, the specialists put the new fifth HiLine printing tower and autopaster AR70 into operation exactly on schedule.
VMG Print is one of the largest newspaper printing houses in Moscow and Moscow region, and it is also a unique demonstration and training center.
Many printers, technologists, managers and even directors who are using Manugraph equipment were trained in this center.
After the modernization of the printing complex by the fifth tower, HiLine press can print more than 1000 tons of paper per month and produce 40 pages newspaper at speed up to 45 000 IPH. The modified HiLine printing press now has five 4x4 printing towers, five AR70 autopasters, all of them are placed under 90 degrees to the printing line, two folders with quarter fold devices and one of the folders is also equipped by the double parallel fold. Three stackers process the production fr om newspaper machine. The printing shop has showed its level of print quality and technologic possibilities at the Open professional print competition “Sanat 2013”, wh ere it took the first prize in the nomination “The best combined production” for the first time.
