In March, 2016 Manugraph commissioned a new modification of the Hiline printing press. The newspaper printing line was installed in one of the biggest publishing companies of India – The Indian Express Pvt. Ltd. which is located in Mumbai, a city with more than 12.5 million population.
The Indian Express Pvt. Ltd. has been well-known on the market of mass media since 1932 and unites more than a dozen editions all over India, producing well-known daily newspapers, including The Indian Express and The Financial Express.
The main feature of the new Hiline modification is the integration of autopasters in the printing tower. Such a design allows to save significant workshop area and to use the height of the room efficiently. A new model of autopaster has been designed for this project, based on the latest Manugraph achievements. The new autopaster’s frame is capable to support the weight of the printing tower and the vibration load during the operation.
The printing line, installed in Mumbai, consists of 6 Hiline printing towers with integrated autopasters, two 2:3:3 folders with balloon former each. This printing press is shaftless, has automatic color registration system and cut off control and Manucolor system as well.
Such a printing line can produce up to 48 pages of full-colored newspaper of tabloid size at speeds of upto 45000 IPH with minimal waste. Two folders allow to divide the printing line into two independent machines and two balloon formers extend the range of printing possibilities.
Manugraph has invented a new model as part of one of the best printing machine manufacturers in the market and has obtained great results. The designing of a new modification of the Hiline printing press shows that Manugraph constantly improves its production line, makes adjustments to production processes and responds quickly to changes in the industry.
