Training at BOBST Belfield manufactory

Employees of VMG printing holding have been trained at the modern plant of the world famous manufacturer of printing equipment BOBST in Germany.

During three days of training our specialists acquainted with the features of CI printing presses of the last generation, designed for the production of flexible packaging and labels. Demonstration areas of BOBST allowed colleagues to fully appreciate the range of flexographic printing presses in operation, high-quality characteristics, accuracy and time of the output to the working mode of the printing, as well as the minimum amount of waste during the changeover and the transition to the next circulation. VMG employees had the opportunity to watch the machines at various stages of assembly, the level of performance and quality of the materials, saw in the simplicity of working with individual units and modules of machines, as well as the convenience of using the machine as a whole, using the friendly HMI interface. In particular, even the ladies easily managed to replace doctor blades without the use of any tools and to make the installation of the plates on SmartGPS system.

Besides the acquaintance with the equipment, the VMG team noted the high level of production culture and technological equipment of the BOBST workshops, which meets all European quality requirements. The company is certified according to ISO quality standards.

Upon the finishing of the training, a test print with color separation under ECG technology (extended color coverage) using the SmartGPS system was organized for VMG specialists. The results impressed: accurate reproduction of very saturated colors within ΔE 2, which can not be transmitted by 4-color synthesis; the microscope showed the high quality of even the smallest elements. Waste material in the transition from one circulation to another did not exceed 15-meters, as the members of the delegation personally convinced themselves, measuring the length of the material from the end of some impressions and the beginning of the quality printing of others.

During the visit, the main principles of cooperation between VMG and Bobst were developed, which will help create the most comfortable conditions for customers when buying Bobst equipment and its further operation, supply of spare parts and service.

BOBST training center is always happy to welcome guests.
