Installation of ECOLINE in “Red Star” printing house

VMG specialists put into operation ECOLINE book offset printing machine manufactured by Manugraph at a new production site of JSC “Red Star”, Moscow printing house.

The printing line includes:

• one printing unit of a tower type for 4 + 4 full color printing,

• book folder 1: 2: 2BK with parallel and quarter fold devices.

The printing press has a book cut-off and is designed exclusively for printing book products.

The maximum productivity of the machine is 25,000 prints per hour.

“Red Star” purchased ECOLINE printing machine for the production of full-color, two-color, and also one-color book products. Now Ecoline machine is fully loaded and the issue of modernization with a second unwind is being worked out, which will make it possible to produce not 16-page book notebooks, but 32-page ones.

For Vneshmultiraph, this is the second installation in Russia of a compact ECOLINE offset machine from Manugraph line. The height of the printing tower is only 2.6 meters and the equipment can fit in rooms with a ceiling height of 3 meters. The machine is installed both in Norilsk (the first Ecoline installation in Russia) and in JSC “Red Star” namely in such premises.

The compact design of the book press, combined with an integrated dampening system, is a solution corresponding to the modern tendency that allows for more efficient production of small print runs with an increasing range of print runs.
